A leadership change is ahead at Sebring International Raceway. Matt Muha has been named the new President and General Manager, succeeding Wayne Estes on January 1, 2026. Estes will retire in March after the 74th running of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring but will assist during the transition. Muha, who began as a firefighter in 2012 and rose to Senior Director of Operations, helped lead major facility upgrades. IMSA officials praised his passion and experience, calling him the ideal choice to guide Sebring into its next era as the track prepares for its 75th running in 2027.
A 40-year-old double murder case has been solved. Authorities have arrested 61-year-old Troy Adam Thorne — also known as Logan Sinclair — for the 1985 killings of Harvey and Margaret Bolser in Lake Wales. The couple, who owned the Swan Apartments, were found dead inside Thorne’s unit, which had been set on fire. Thorne was declared incompetent to stand trial decades ago but later lived a quiet life in Tampa. A renewed investigation using modern forensic technology led to his indictment on two counts of first-degree murder and one count of arson. Thorne is now being held without bond.
Five people are in custody for an alleged theft ring that targeted Asian business owners in Central Florida. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrests yesterday. Deputies say the suspects are members of a Colombian South American Theft Group that was also wanted in Hillsborough and Osceola counties. For weeks, while disguised as landscapers, the suspects allegedly used sophisticated surveillance to track victims’ routines. They didn’t know, though, a sheriff’s office drone was watching when they allegedly broke into a home Monday. All five are charged with burglary, grand theft and criminal mischief and are being held on ICE detainers.
