A Bartow man is facing murder charges after deputies say he shot his neighbor in the head for an unknown reason. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office identified the suspect as David Richard Morris, who is accused of killing Jeffrey Lee Blevins outside his apartment on March 26. Investigators say there were no witnesses or video, but evidence—including a 9mm casing and a firearm found in the suspect’s apartment—led to the arrest. Morris is now charged with second-degree murder and is being held without bond, with officials saying charges could be upgraded as the investigation continues.
