A Sebring resident is looking to breathe life into City of Charm. Jane Benham, who runs the Avon Park Farmer’s Market has made a pitch to the Avon Park city council to revive the Main Street program there.
As a 501.(c)(3) organization, the Main Street America’s program works to revitalize downtowns and commercial districts through preservation-based economic development and community revitalization.
In the past, there have been Main Street programs both in Sebring and in Avon Park. City council members plan to take the item up at their next March meeting.
