Sun N Lakes South is growing … the recreation district south of Lake Placid was expanded by the Highlands County Commission this week – from 2,815 lots to over 8,000. The expansion will relieve the County of the obligatin to sell access rights to the District’s boat ramp to nonresidents, and will add over 5,000 properties to the District’s assessment base for revenue purposes. Sun N Lakes of Lake Placid will now extend all the way down to Highway 70 and outward to County Highway 29.
