For the first time in months, Highlands County gas prices have dipped below four dollars – by a tenth of a cent. At least one station here has been seen at $3.99.9 for unleaded regular.
Reportedly, the price has dropped, as the strategic oil reserves have been opened for consumer use and export. A Florda gas tax holiday, which would drop the price even more, has been planned for this fall.
A nationally known act is coming to the Circle Theatre in downtown Sebring. Five-time Grammy Award Winning Bassist Victor Wooten will be bringing his Bass Extremes tour here in October.
Circle Theatre manager Harry Havery made the announcement yesterday here on the Highlands Radio Group.
He says he already has received inquiries from outside the county for tickets for the nationally known act in an intimate setting. Previously, there have been international talents from England and from Denmark that have played the Circle Theatre venue.
