A new survey shows when it comes to housing Highlands County is younger than a lot of places. The survey by Construction Coverage shows that the median age of homes in the Sebring-Avon Park metro area is 35 years, with half of its housing stock built before 1987.
The national average is 41 years.
Nevertheless, only 6.8-percent of the homes here have been built since 2010.
