A Wauchula man has died in a Hardee County traffic crash. Florida Highway Patrol reports say the 63-year-old motorcyclist was eastbound on State Road 62, and was hit from behind by a sport utility vehicle.
The force of the impact sent the biker off his cycle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The SUV went off the road clipped a fence then hit a tree. That driver sustained minor injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.

The Historic Sportscar Spring Fling races will be held this weekend at the Sebring International Raceway, and although it won’t be open to spectators, officials from the lawn mower racers at NASGRASS say their upcoming Snowbird Nationals this weekend will be open to the public.
In fact, they predict a record crowd as they debut their new facility at the Florida Flywheeler’s Park. The group has installed additional bleachers, and still are suggesting fans bring folding chairs for the 2-day event which starts tomorrow. Reportedly some camping will be available for the event.
