There’s action on the track at the Sebring International Raceway today as the Fanatec GT World Challenge America cars run their test & tune sessions in preparation for the upcoming race weekend. Practice laps will be held tomorrow.
On the circuit will be Fanatec GT World Challenge, Pirelli GT4 America, Toyota Gazoo Racing GR Cup and TC America division cars. Racing will be held Saturday and Sunday.
There were no serious injuries last night when a car hit a pole. That one happened shortly after 9:PM near the intersection of Cloverleaf and Twin Lakes Road near Lake Placid.
No names were released. The incident remains under investigation.
Polk County Sheriff’s officials are investigating a drowning incident. Deputies and fire/rescue units were called to a home in Indian Lakes Estates, east of Lake Wales, where a 6-year-old drown.
Authorities say life saving measures were unsuccessful in reviving the boy. No other details on that incident have yet been released.
