Members of the Highlands Radio Group took in more than $500 in cash and checks, as well as a van-load of cans and non-perishable foodstuffs. It appears the bears are on the move again – and through some populated areas. Sebring Middle School’s dismissal was interrupted yesterday when a small bruin was spotted near campus just before school let out. Students walking or riding their bikes were held up. Memorial Drive south of Avon Park was closed for a time this morning due to what was termed “a significant fuel spill.” Early reports indicate a pick-up truch rear ended a tanker at the railroad tracks just north of College Drive.
