Donalds highlighted growth, jobs, workforce training and lowering insurance costs, while urging voters to support his campaign for governor. The Sebring stop was one of several appearances during a busy statewide campaign swing that took Donalds from Highlands County to South Florida, where he continued promoting his platform and seeking support ahead of November’s election.
A Sebring man who served prison time in connection with the death of his infant daughter is back in jail. Twenty-seven-year-old Bryan Marquis Reese was arrested Monday after deputies responding to a reported disturbance allegedly found him intoxicated, violating a condition of his probation. Reese had been released from prison in May after serving time for aggravated manslaughter of a child and is now being held on a probation violation.
The Military Sea Services Museum will celebrate the U.S. Air Force’s 79th birthday Saturday, September 19th, at 2 p.m. The celebration will honor Air Force veterans and their families, with free cake and ice cream for everyone attending. A major undercover drug investigation in Lakeland has led to 39 arrests and more than 290 felony and misdemeanor charges. Authorities say “Operation End of Worlds” seized pounds of fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana, along with two firearms and cash. Investigators identified 48-year-old Michael Worlds Jr. as the alleged ringleader, who faces 67 felony charges.
