News Update for 11/10/21

It appears Avon Park city council members will give another bite at the apple for the Brickell Building. They gave City Manger Mark Shrader the go-ahead to put the two story Main Street structure out again for bids,
They are seeking requests for proposal for the building to see if developers are interested. There was only slight interest the first time around.
It is a fixer-upper and could cost as much as seven figures to completely restore.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas….in downtown Sebring that is. Crews were out yesterday doing a preliminary layout for the annual “Carousel of Lights.” The display on the historic circle has been a staple of the Christmas season for decades.
People travel from all over to see the amazing light display. Reportedly, there will games for the whole family, snacks, miniature golf and Santa will be in attendance each evening.
This year’s first evening will be Saturday, November 27th. It will run through Christmas.
