There was action galore at the Sebring International Raceway yesterday and it will continue through Saturday.
In a crash-filled Alan Jay 120, Chad McCumber driving the PF Racing Ford took the checkered flag in a dash to the finish line.
Today is qualifying for the cars in the Mobil One 12 Hours of Sebring and the World Endurance Championship’s Sebring 1000 will take the green flag.
Alpine’s Nicolas Lapierre claimed the first pole of the FIA World Endurance Championship season last night. He led last night’s prototype qualifying session with a time of 1:47.407 behind the wheel of the No. 36 Alpine A480 Gibson.
Today’s also the first big entertainment of the weekend with the International Bikini Model Search Bikini contest tonight, along with concerts by Chase Matthew, Tristan Nunez & Accelerate and music from Roots & Boots – an ensemble of country stars Aaron Tippin, Colin Raye and Sammy Kershaw.

A Lake Wales man has died in a motorcycle crash. Polk County Sheriff’s officials say 44-year-old William Jason Babington lost control of his Harley on the curve at BuckMoore Road North and Oakland Park Drive.
He ran down an embankment and hit a fence. Babington was pronounced dead at the scene. Deputies say he was not wearing a helmet or protective gear at the time of the crash. Impairment appeared to be a factor in the crash, and the investigation is ongoing.
