Update for 11/5/21News

Tonight will see the debut of Sebring Tonight at the Circle Theater on the Circle in Downtown Sebring. Based on the popular “Tonight Show,” it is a variety program. It will be hosted by Harry Havery with a number of different guests and acts.
Included will be local magician Nelson Pacheo, who has been providing prestidigitation to Highlands County for decades. There also will be Dog Tricks from Brook Lefkowitz & her dog.
Music and Toby’s Clowns also will be part of the program.
It starts tonight at 7:00.

Set-up starts today for the 54th Annual Sebring Arts & Crafts Festival. More than 70 visual and performing arts booths and display will be set-up throughout the downtown area. Emanating from the Circle will be spoke streets such as “Children’s Street” with activities for the youngsters, and “Culinary Street,” which will be lined with food trucks and local food vendors.
Live music and entertainment also will be featured.
The event will run tomorrow from 9am until 4pm. It traditionally brings thousands of visitors to downtown Sebring.

They’ll be cleaning up tomorrow – in Lake Jackson that is. Local Rotarians and other volunteers will be walking, driving and boating on and around Lake Jackson looking to harvest trash and debris.
Anybody interested in helping out should show up tomorrow morning at 8:AM on Veterans’ Beach, Trash bags will be provided and there will be hot dogs cooked up for those who help out.

It will be a hard call for entertainment tomorrow night in the Heartland. The inaugural MidFlorida Opry will kick off at the Frostproof City Hall Auditorium. The Broken Spoke will be performing there. That program will commence at 5:00 with proceeds going to a student scholarship program.
The popular Lee Alcorn Band will be doing a show at the Circle Theatre tomorrow night. That program is sponsored, so there will be no admission feel. The band will commence thre3 at 7pm.
