Barry Foster

Barry Foster began his career in college radio as a disc jockey back in 1970 and worked for a number of stations in Ohio both as a disc jockey and a newscaster until 1979 when he moved to Florida. He has a BA in communications from Bowling Green State University and has a First Class Radio Telephone Operators License from the Federal Communications Commission.

Barry has been working as News Director for better than three decades, having moved from Polk County to take over as the WWOJ News Director in 1986.

In 1989, he began presenting news on WWTK when the station signed on the air, and shortly thereafter took the reins as a local talk show host. He now presents the news on OJ99.1 and Lite 105.7 as well.
