Like the city of Avon Park, it appears the city of Sebring is getting ready to buy a building. The Sebring Community Redevelopment Agency reportedly has a contract on the old First Union Bank building on Ridgewood Drive across from the Fire Station. The 2-story, 20,000 square foot structure would go for $325,000.
Sebring Mayor John Shoop has called for a joint workshop between the CRA and city council to discuss how to use the building. Options would include everything from using it as a city hall, to renting it out to a non-profit organization.
