Highlands County Sheriff’s officials have added to the list of those wanted for passing counterfeit cash here. An arrest warrant has been issued for 34-year-old Chaz Allen Demeere of Sebring, He is wanted for multiple counts of uttering a false bank bill or note, grand theft and using a two-way device to facilitate a felony.
33-year-old Cierra Michelle Sramek is believed to be with Demeere and also has warrants out for her arrest.
Last week, sheriff’s deputies working with the United States Secret Service arrested three others in connection with the case.
There was some activity at the Sebring International Raceway over the weekend – but it wasn’t racing. Area firefighters used the track to complete the skills portion of their Emergency Vehicle Operators Course.
Before being allowed to run the trucks with lights and siren blaring, drivers are required to complete a minimum of 16 hours of classroom and practice driving time.
So they used the raceway for their skills test…
