Motorists driving though Sebring tomorrow will have to budget some extra time. Ridgewood Drive from the Parkway to NE Lakeview Drive will be shut down from 7am until 7pm. A woman reportedly was injured shortly after midnight this morning while trying to not hit an animal. She reportedly crashed her car on County Road 731 after swerving to avoid the critter. Firefighters across Highlands County were busy overnight. First, units from the City of Sebring responded to a warehouse fire on Commercial Drive just north of the Fairmount shopping plaza. The call went out shortly after 7:30. There were no injuries reported. Cause of the fire was not released. It’s unknown what was in the warehouse. Continue reading
